Christian Longo Attorney Wants Death Sentence Overturned
Should an Oregon man convicted of killing his wife and 3 young children be
put to death?
The attorney for Christian Longo says the death sentence should be thrown
out because and FBI agent misled the most-wanted fugitive into returning
to the United States from Mexico.
The Oregon Supreme Court began hearing arguments Tuesday on whether to
uphold Longo's murder convictions and death sentence.
In 2003, a Lincoln County jury sentenced Longo for killing his wife,
MaryJane, and the couple's children, 4-year-old Zachery, 3-year-old Sadie
and 2-year-old Madison. Their bodies were found around Christmas 2001 in
waters off the Oregon Coast.
