NCADP 2006 Conference: Abolition Rising
The National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (NCADP) is organising their annual conference (NCADP 2006) on the abolition movement. This year's theme is: Abolition Rising and is held at Hyatt Fair Lakes at Fairfax, Virginia, US, from October 27th till 29th.

This conference is important because there is workshop specifically focus on working with murder victims’ family members and family members of those on death row.
This year’s conference will include a presentation by Theodore Shaw, Director-Counsel and President of the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, who will discuss “The Power of Innocence.” Shaw was involved in the recent disclosures by leading U.S. newspapers that at least four people executed in the states of Missouri and Texas were, in fact, innocent.
Other topics to be addressed include race and the death penalty; how to wage winning campaigns against the death penalty in your state; and working with murder victims’ family members and family members of those on death row.
