Prosecutors won't seek death penalty for home invasion
San Bernardino County prosecutors won't seek the death penalty for four
men accused of a deadly home invasion robbery.
The men pleaded innocent yesterday to special circumstance allegations.
They're also charged with murder, kidnapping and other crimes.
Prosecutors claim the men kidnapped rap musician Michael Denmon in Los
Angeles last year and forced him to drive to a Redlands home he shared
with his mother.
Authorities say the men robbed the home, shot the mother, shot and wounded
her nephew, then drove off with Denmon.
He was shot later and dumped in Orange County but survived and called
authorities.
